Verification is not a one-time badge. It is the reason we can say, honestly, that you can trust who is coming into your home.
Verified means verified
Before a cleaner can appear on Hygeia, our team reviews their ID, DBS certificate, and insurance documents by hand. Nothing is approved automatically. If a document expires or looks wrong, the cleaner is taken out of the job pool until it is sorted.
You will see three trust badges on every cleaner profile: ID Verified, DBS Checked, and Fully Insured. If you ever see a cleaner without all three, they have not been approved to take work yet.
How we keep everyone safe
ID verification
Every cleaner uploads a government-issued ID before they can appear in search or accept jobs.
DBS checks
We check for a valid Disclosure and Barring Service certificate before approving any cleaner.
Insurance
Cleaners provide proof of public liability insurance, so you are covered if something is damaged.
Reviews you can trust
Only customers who booked a job can leave a review, and our team moderates anything reported.
Dispute resolution
If a job does not go to plan, open a dispute from your booking and a real person will review it.
